About My Project

My name is Julie and I am taking a one year sabbatical from my career to raise my two boys, Jameson (almost two) and Nolan (my newborn). During this next year, I am undertaking a project with my sons.  The project is two-fold:  first I would like to spread information about the best local playgrounds to other moms, dads, and caregivers and second, I am looking to keep my little ones active during this next year so they don’t bounce off the walls and scale my household furniture!

What a wonderful project! It’s funny – I started a hand-written list at Kids’ Fun Stop a few weeks ago & posted it, but this site will be waay better! It’s just not easy to find these playgrounds. I didn’t see a place where people can make suggestions on parks to add, might turn up some hidden treasures that way!

I have no idea if you’ll be including indoor play spaces, but of course I’d love for you to include Kids’ Fun Stop, but understand if you’d like to keep it to outdoor locations. If you’d like my list of favorites, I’d be happy to pass that along.

Come see us soon. Enjoy your boys – congrats on the year sabbatical!

    Hi Julie,
This is such a great idea! I have a 1 year old, and we love being outside. We don’t have a car, so have not explored too many playgrounds beyond the ones close by. As the weather warms up (finally!), your posts will help us decide on fun places to go explore.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and enjoy your special time with your boys.
